TO BE OR NOT TO BE (REPRESENTED)
For us illustrators, being represented by an illustration agency can feel like the holy grail…but is getting an agent really that good or essential to thrive in the creative world? I wanted to explore this subject with you in this new module, now that I have a little bit more experience with it. After around 5 years working for myself, I am now represented by a French illustration agency called Monica Velours. I actually have been with them for over a year now, that’s why I feel comfortable talking about it all and hopefully giving you a little behind the scenes of the industry. We’ll look at how to find an agent, how everything really works when it comes to projects and money and finally, what the pros and cons of being represented are. I hope you enjoy this new module!
